Swatti Embroidered Wedding Textile with rarely-seen self embroidery.

Bridal Shawl on thick cotton with Justai embrodiery on the end panels

The unique feature of this shawl is the "self" embroidery motifs seen in the main field. The white cotton thread that has been used to create the cloth has also been used for creating additional motifs in the blank white field. This is the only piece I have seen with such work.

Superbly done motifs and end panels.

The white field has yellowed and has minor stains.

Estimated to be from the 1920s
