EXQUISITE example of bead embellishments in this old embroidered Swat valley textile panel.

The embroidery is nice too, but the beads are spectacular.

Swat textiles are rare and the beaded work on this type is almost impossible to find.

The embroidery seems to be slightly overrun with a pink shade - maybe some color-run during a wash. But it is a mild problem that is not immediately noticeable.

The backing cloth is most likely a Russian roller print that is slightly stained.

Probably 80-90 years old.
