Outstanding wedding shawl that is made for the bride over several years in the same manner as phulkaris.

From the Sindh region.

Superb glossy silk embroidery on thick base cloth

Has several 'fumtu' or floret-tassel embellishments attached to the flat front face that add a third dimension

Has some thread loss. Has minor holes, some temporary taped repairs in a few spots, and will do well with a backing.

Age Unknown but estimated to be from the 1930s-1940s

Size 232 x 127 cm
