Antique Sapa Hilltribe Skirt Vietnam Beaded Weaving

Skirt with beads integrated into the weaving. All natural dyes.

Folded over and stitched along the length. Worn as a tube and the waist end is folded over.

Circa 1930.

Fading in the red areas

Soft pliable fabric - the oldest  piece I have handled.

This rare form of weaving is likely from Vietnam's Katu people in the central highlands.
