Antique silver jewelry Perfume Purse
The purse compartment is meant to hold a cottonball doused in ittar (exotic perfume)
The holes in the main body of the purse allow the fragrance to drift out.
Has many bells - like in Payals - to create a pleasant tinkling with movement.
Has a lid and a ring for the finger to hold it.
Very Impressive one-of-a-kind museum piece.
Note the ballooning curves of the piece. Note also the engraved edges where the front and the back meet. Note that even the little lid has its own engraving.
Created with love.
Age unknown but estimated to be 50-60 years old
Awadh lucknow, india.
Very rare piece - my jeweler who is 86 years old says that this is only the 2nd or 3rd such piece he has come across in his lifetime.
