Superb Chope Phulkari Shawl with double sided embroidery

The stitch is such that the result on the front and back produces exactly the same pattern.

Used in a pre-wedding ceremony in Punjab.

Note the unusual use of white thread in this piece

Silk thread on coarse hand woven cloth.

Made on 3 panels of cloth stitched together lengthwise.

Has a mild large stain or discoloration that can be seen in the photos
