A large copper crown or mukut worn by the highest Buddhist Priests - the Vajracharyas during tantric religious ceremonies.

On the six statuettes of meditating Buddhas, we see five different mudras or positions of the hands of the Buddha.

The three main domes are made of copper, the ornate decor is made of brass that is possibly gold-plated and inlaid with semi-precious stones.

There is a semi-vajra mounted on top.

The inner cloth has been replaced recently due to extensive wear and tear on the original cloth.

Age unknown.

Signs of this life lived heartily may be present on the piece in the form of stains, thread loss, loose threads, holes, tears, color run and other imperfections.
