Lovely saturated colors on an antique Banjara household item. When women carried pots of water back from the river or well to their homes,
the pots were placed on their head and place on this pot cushion. The flap hangs at the back of the head.
Very fine weaving / embroidery and several intriguing patterns. The colors on this piece are outstanding and better than most of the others that I have seen.
Some fraying and losses.
