The 3 waves that run across the length of the textile each with its small waves, represent the rivers that have made Punjab the agricultural success it is and so have played a pivotal role in the lives of the people.

A rare layout in baghs

Embroidered primarily in orange silk floss with accents done in white green and magenta.

The deep maroon base cloth is hand spun and hand woven.

Estimated to be from the early 1900s

Punjab, Undivided India
