Superb wood carved plaque.

The scene is probably a part of some important legend with a shrine in a forest protected by dragons. 

The characters inscribed on the left are Fú · Lù · Shòu · Xǐ - meaning the four auspicious blessings: Good Fortune, Prosperity, Longevity and Happiness.

The gold paint has faded over the years but the art remains as gorgeous as ever.
