2137 Mithila Traditional Art Painting - Large - Sun & Moon
Gorgeous traditional Mithila Painting by Satyanarayan Moti Karn with deep rich colors
The subject is the Sun & the Moon.
Nature plays a very important role in the lives of the people there and finds it's way into their customs, belief systems and their art.
All natural pigments
Extremely detailed.
Signed by the president awardee Satya Narayan Moti. Acquired directly from Moti Karn.
51 x 46 cm with border
40 x 36 cm without border
(This is the largest of the few that are offered)
Production of these artworks is very limited. So I tried to take all. I rejected a few - and those had some blank spaces that did not look aesthetically right. In most, there are filler elements that are connected to the main subject symbolically and laid out harmoniously around.
Will be shipped in a tube without the cardboard border. If you prefer it sent with the cardboard border and flat packed please choose the larger size option for shipping fees.
