Rural naive art on an item of daily use. 

In the shape of a dog. Has a metal belt around the neck and a metal tongue. The paws are broad so it stands upright as well. 

Crafted to open and close smoothly and still operational as a nut cracker. 

Estimated to be from the early 1900s.
