1926 Antique Sumatran Tampan Ship Cloth with Silk Weaving

Rare Silk Tampan Ship cloth from Sumatra 

The silk weaving suggests that it belonged to a noble / wealthy family 

Fine Cotton base. The rust color of  the silk shows a nice fading. Superbly set-off with burnt-yellow borders.

People arranged in three hierarchical structure to represent the family tree.

Excellent frame-able Artwork perfect as wall art!

Estimated to be from the early 1900s or before
