Since 2004 when I got it at an auction after a fierce fight, this has been one of my most beloved treasures. I kept it on my wall and admired the maker. Every little wild motif in an unexpected place led me to her soul and I remain mesmerised even today.
This rug was in my personal collection and is being offered for acquisition for the first time after two decades of loving it.
After all, all of life is about 'letting go'

Wild & Amazing!
Noted in Layard's 1997 account of travel in Iran. Though this note refers to the Bakhtiari tribe, the Qashqai live in the same province. So the animals found in this rug may be connected to this note from 1887.
Has spots of wear and has repairs. Condition is not perfect.
But there is no other like this... so if the soul calls out to you and mesmerises you, make it yours
This item has spent a lifetime being used for the purpose of its creation with the original artist/user. Signs of this life lived heartily may be present on the piece in the form of stains, thread loss, loose threads, holes, tears, color run and other imperfections. Therefore the condition must be assumed to be “not” perfect. More photos of such imperfections will be provided on request.
