Superb rare tassels made of camel wool, glass beads and the very rare mini-cowrie shells.
Three separate strands - each containing balls made of camel wool
The Camel wool balls have beenarranged together with red, blue, yellow, green & white beads and cowrie shells in a geometric zome arrangement.
These are used by the nomadic herder groups in Rajasthan and Gujarat to decorate their beloved camels.
As these groups get settled slowly, such pieces - made purely for self-consumption and not for commercial sale - are becoming rare.
Estimated to be from the 1970s
Please note that the upper thread have frayed from usage. Sold as is.
