This ritual textile is draped around the shoulders by the priest during rituals.

Contains a Inscription / protective blessing

Embroidered at both ends.

Edge embroidery done to protect the selvedge

Amazing hand spun cotton

Frail condition with several repairs

Tassels appear to have been replaced but the current ones are also old.

Estimated to be from the late 1800s

 This superb example of hilltribe textile art deserves to be in a museum for all to enjoy!
