Boats of Eastern India, 1800s – Company School Paintings

January 11, 2019 1 min read

Seen on an auction site, these paintings give us a glimpse of the lifestyle of those times.

To pursue the characters that lived these lives, watch the Netflix original series ‘Stories by Rabindranath Tagore’. The expert direction by Anurag Basu brings out the delicate flavours of the era in a way that enchants even outsiders like me.

Loved the paintings, loved the TV series, love that era!

An much of the appeal (to me) of antique arts is the bridge that they offer for us to visit that era!
