Vintage Textile Wall Decor Panel with Embroidery

Used to cover their household effects in Gujarat, this piece of cloth is beautified with embroidery.

Every community uses materials, stitches & motifs that are often the signatures of their identity.

Motifs in this one include girls probably dancing the folk dance, elephants and tulsi (basil) plant.

This minimalist piece has been created by the Rjput community in Kutch.

Handwoven base cloth - hand embroidery. A good example of naive art.
