Almost square Dhaniyo extravagantly embroidered in silk and mirrors

Bright vibrant bold color scheme

Has a central motif of girls on camels playing with a butterfly(?)!

Used to cover up household effects such as mattresses etc

Created as dowry gifts and preserved carefully as this is a part of the family's wealth

35 x 45 inches approximately

Has Mashru borders

The top is left intentionally blank as it is the portion that gets tucked into the furniture or pile of matteresses or whatever object is being covered with this artwork

Age unknown but estimated to be 50-60 years old

Kutch, Gujarat

Has some thread loss (red silk), missing mirrors and some stains as can be seen in the photos
