913 Antique Kohistan Bridal Jumlo Dress with Embroidery

Superb Bridal Dress from Kohistan.

Heavily embroidered in superfine embroidery.

The embroidery consists of silk thread wrapped around the weft or warp threads of the base cloth.

Heavily embellished with metal decorative pieces.

The front and back have been constructed using 99 panels of black cloth.

Estimated to be from the 1930s-1950s

There probably are comparable pieces in the world, but I have yet to see any other that is so ornate.

This item has spent a lifetime being used for the purpose of its creation with the original artist/user.

It is very likely that signs of this life are present on the piece in the form of wear and tear, missing / incomplete / damaged embellishment bits, stains, thread loss, loose threads, holes, tears, color run and other imperfections.

Therefore the condition must be assumed to be “not” perfect.
