Antique Iban Kumbu Ikat textile.

This example of textile art from Sarawak, Borneo has human figures woven in, making this a special piece.

Each of the two rows has four figures

Each row is unique as the humans have different hair styles / head cloths & different tattoo patterns on their legs & chest.

Clearly there is some meaning in these motifs but I am still trying to read up on this subject.

An impressive piece of textile art perfect for hanging up as woven wall art

Estimated to be from the early 1900s

Generally good condition

74" x 41"
