Antique Qajar Illuminated miniature paintings on organic material strung into a bracelet
Some are visibly damaged.
Superbly saturated colors
Four of the paintings show amorous scenes and the other four have arabesque floral patterns.
The clasps appear to be silver while the joints appear to be of another metal
Late 1800s Qajar period, Persia.
Preserved with love in a box on a bed of unprocessed cotton.
Photos taken at angles to show the illuminated highlights.
Will make a perfect decor item when framed.
It is a magnificent work of art that and among the most fine / intricate works I've seen of this type.
The paintings are really miniature as the size of each element is 2cm x 2.8cm.
The total length is about 19cm.
