This AMAZING fine Cambodian silk weft-Ikat Sampot has 8 motifs and uses 6 different colors

In ikat, both these factors increase the complexity of the craft that goes into it's creation.

Estimated to be from the very early 1900s.

Condition is not perfect - repairs and holes present

Considering the difficulties faced by the country, it is amazing that such pieces have survived at all.

These flaws could be repaired by an expert.

The glossy sheen is a result of the weaving technique used in Cambodia and makes it difficult to photograph.
