Buddhist Art of the Dambulla Cave Temple

This cave temple is 520 feet high ... roughly 52 floors to climb. 

They didn't tell me this beforehand and I didn't find out beforehand. This turned out to be a blessing - otherwise I'd never have gone up the steps and would have missed these breathtaking paintings. 

Worth a visit.
