Exquisite masterpiece

Pashmina wool end panel of long shawl

Six complete boteh with several smaller botehs ensconced in the curves.

Note the boat-like shape at the bottom of each boteh. 

Resembles the ‘Ranjit Singh Samadhi Shawl’ from the Tapi collection in which the boat of Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s funeral is said to be depicted.

In this fragment do we see the shape of a boat?

Extremely fine weaving, maybe of the finest group.

The expertise of weaving is best seen by examining the back of this shawl
