Kashmir Prayer Mat composed of various (possibly pashmina shawl) wool cloth.
The prayer niche mihrab has been created with crimson.
The main field has vines with a variety of flower blooms(at least 8) including pomegranate. Ribbons decorate the vine at regular intervals.
Estimated to be from the early 1800s (or prior).

The back is bordered in sky blue silk

This item has spent a lifetime being used for the purpose of its creation with the original artist/user. Signs of this life lived heartily may be present on the piece in the form of stains, thread loss, loose threads, holes, tears, color run and other imperfections.
