Wall Decor Panel with Embroidery

Used to cover their household effects by gypsy tribes from Kutch, this piece of cloth is beautified with embroidery.

Every community uses materials, stitches & motifs that are often the signatures of their identity.

Motifs in this one include a pair of women churning buttermilk, peacocks, tulsi plants, saathiyo (rangoli) and girls atop twin birds? This minimalist piece has been created by the Rjput community in Kutch.

Handwoven base cloth - hand embroidery. A good example of naive art.
