Vintage Kutch Textiles

A collection of premium high quality textiles from Kutch, Gujarat. Various textile groups have been represented in this collection but the focus is mainly on Vagadia Rabari and Debariya Rabari subgroups. The use of specific motifs - the mother goddess - is seen across all groups. While Vagadia Rabari textiles are easily identifiable by the preference for yellow, debariya rabari textiles are recognisable from their presence of pink-blue-green combinations and minimal use of mirrors.
