Superb Bridal Dress from Kohistan.

Heavily embroidered in superfine embroidery.

The embroidery consists of silk thread wrapped around the weft or warp threads of the base cloth.

Heavily embellished with metal decorative pieces.

The front and back have been constructed using 99 panels of black cloth.

Estimated to be from the 1930s-1950s

There probably are comparable pieces in the world, but I have yet to see any other that is so ornate.

Black is slightly faded. Minor losses, wear & tear present.
