Antique Katu Tube Skirt Woven with Cotton and Beads

Gorgeous textile with the white beads looking stunning against the indigo and red cloth!

The glass beads have been added into the textiles at the time of weaving. This type of work is called 'Zeng".

The motif forms created with the beads - diamonds, bows, symmetrical crosses of two types across the field are elaborate and rare.

Estimated to be from 1960s-1980s
