This manuscript palm leaf artwork from Odisha, India
I was told that it is the Laxmi Purana and contains a text a narration of the story of Lakshmi - the story of the Goddes of Wealth and the wife of Vishnu. As I cannot read the language, I cannot confirm this.
The text is accompanied by skillful drawings.
All photos have been taken with flash to allow for clear readability.
This however makes the manuscript look brighter and yellow than it actually is.
Age of this article is unknown.
But conclusions may be drawn from the evolution of epigraphy displayed in the State Museum at Bhubaneshwar.
An article about the art process is available on the blog wovensouls.org.
