Painted on the inside with figures of 6 deities.

Painted on the outside with a lattice that is all but worn out totally - leaving just enough to allow us to imagine the past beauty.

Hand carved borders.

Highly saturated colors seen in the paintings of the deities.

The icons suggest that the origin is Hindu / Buddhist and may be from  Nepal.

Condition reflects heavy usage over the decades, especially on the outer side of these covers.

The figures of deities that are painted on the inner surface are still discernible.

A rare and collectible set.
