Large set of Buddhist Sutra with Wood Cover

One of the two hand chiselled wood covers has 3 miniature thangka paintings on paper fixed onto them. 

About 75 pages of sutras on paper.

Mostly black ink but some important words have been written in red ink

A variation in handwriting styles is seen.

Some hand made thick paper used.

14 x 3 1/2 inches.

The wood covers are 16 inches long.

Some damage to the paper.

Estimated to be from the late 1800s / early 1900s
