1115 Antique Tibetan Manuscript on Architectural Stupa Design

Antique Tibetan Manuscript on Buddhist Architectural Design of Chorten Stupas

Antique hand drawn hand painted folios from a Tibetan manuscript

Lot contains a total of 3 leaves probably from a larger treatise on the subject of architectural designs of the region. These 3 folios in particular deal with designs of Chortens or Stupas (Buddhist shrines, typically a senior Lama or saint's tomb or a monument to the Buddha)

Of the 3 pages, 2 have diagrams and text on both sides and one has these on only 1 side.

Also included is a 4th page that has no artistic or financial value but is of interest as it appears to be a learning attempt of a student monk.

Has frayed edges and other signs of decades of usage related wear & tear

Size: 30 x 7.5 cm

Estimated to be from the early 1900s

Excellent for research.
