Nepalese manuscript dealing with protective spells for children.
Text & paintings on thick handmade paper.
Each of the seven panels on one side of the manuscript has been divided into two sections - one a picture on one side and some text with charts on the other.
The subjects of the paintings are from mythology.
On the back we see two panels completely painted.
When open, the size is 75 x26 cm.
The most attractive feature of this set are the vibrant colors and the importance of the text.
The condition is as can be seen in the photos. There is edge wear, stains, tears and other damage related to age and usage on the folios as well as the paintings.

This item has spent a lifetime being used for the purpose of its creation with the original artist/user. Signs of this life lived heartily may be present on the piece in the form of stains, thread loss, loose threads, holes, tears, color run and other imperfections. Therefore the condition must be assumed to be “not” perfect. More photos of such imperfections will be provided on request.
