This is the equivalent of the wedding band and is worn by all married women of the Muslim community in Kolhapur at all times.

24 ornamented bits interspersed with solid gold beads and strung on a black thread.

Worn by tying a knot at the nape of the neck - a permanent clasp can also be fixed.

This set of 24 pieces has fine crafting and the design is not blurred or poorly impressed on the gold. Very carefully selected for the collection after going through several lots.

Age unknown but estimated to be from the 1950s

Some part of the black thread is undone - can be fixed at any Indian jeweler within minutes.
