1979 Group of Antique Indian Trade Textile Toraja Fragments

A  group of border fragments of an Indian Trade Textiles from Toraja.

This group consists of 5 fragments from the same or similar textiles. 

Appear to be made by stencil / roller / block (not sure).

Fantastic hand-spun yarn (see close-ups) 

Great as study examples or for framing together. 

These textile have been saved from a fire - therefore has burn marks present on some. Holes and stains. Edges not even. 

The largest is about 20 X 11.5 cm

Comparison with other similar examples suggests that these are pre 1900.

[Similar examples have been dated to be from the 13th - 19th century]
