From the Sindh region.

Superb glossy silk embroidery on fine silk base

Usually such pieces are on cotton. Silk is not a common material making this an unusual piece.

Densely embroidered field.

Unusual use of black making it a one-of a kind piece.

Very good condition. Corners have been reinforced.

Estimated to be from the late 1800s - early 1900s.

I rarely make statements like this but this piece is likely to be among the top antique Sindhi shawls in the world today.
