Figurative Silk Pedan or Pidan from Cambodia

In the olden days these wall hangings were offered at temples.

This weaving is a recent one made in the 1990s.

Will be perfect framed as a wall artwork.

Do note that the silk in Cambodian weavings is very glossy and therefore several angles have been provided to show various shades.

Size: 88 x 97 cm

Backing has been added later.

Three such almost-identical textiles are available - 223-A, 223-B and 223-C (sizes are slightly different)

This item has spent a lifetime being used for the purpose of its creation with the original artist/user. Signs of this life lived heartily may be present on the piece in the form of stains, thread loss, loose threads, holes, tears, color run and other imperfections. Therefore the condition must be assumed to be “not” perfect. More photos of such imperfections will be provided on request.
