Chenini is an ancient settlement perched high on a hilltop ridge that was used mainly as a fortified granary by the local Berber Nomads.

These textiles are very important to the family and so rarely available commercially.
Fine dense borders and end panels. The back is much darker than the faded front.
The back wool, with years of usage has a fluffy feel - somewhat like pattu.
Softened with usage. Has signs of usage - faded unevenly in a way that enhances the look trmeendously. Condition is not perfect - very minor imperfections.

Signs of this life lived heartily may be present on the piece in the form of stains, thread loss, loose threads, holes, tears, color run and other imperfections.
