Sailing along the Mekong River Delta

March 15, 2019 1 min read

On a hot summer’s day in a place called

in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam, we went out to see daily life and the floating markets.

In a place connected by intricate waterways of rivers & tributaries, water-transport is probably more far-reaching than road transport.

Shops of fruits, vegetables, chicken, plastic chairs, cements and every other possible item could be bought on the river. (well we did not see iphones ….)

A few photos:

It is always refreshing to be around people who live the simple life close to the earth and its elements.

The limitations of my life may not allow for complete adoption of their lifestyle but viewing that lifestyle creates inspiration and aspiration.
