Patan Patola Ikat Weaving – HOW?

February 14, 2018

For those who wondered how!

A video interview with a masterweaver Kanaiyalalbhai who explains the process step by step.

To understand the technique of weaving Patan Patola double ikats and the skills that he has, most textile lovers would gladly make an attempt to learn his first language Gujarati. But he has made an effort to speak in English  – his third language,  and Hindi – his second language. Much appreciated Kanaiyalalbhai!!

Very well explained – worth the 30 minutes!
