Man and beast subject to the elements of nature in equal measure. The fragility of the human’s sense of empowerment over nature, is accentuated in the extreme testing conditions such as in the desert. Perhaps it is for this reason that men living in these conditions live closely bonded to their animals.
In the testing temperatures of the desert, finding shade is critical. A small pot on the head, the shadow of the person ahead, rudimentary huts made of twigs all offer solace in the desert sun.
