Live and Learn – Kite Flying

August 04, 2020 1 min read

A chance question to some of the staff at the hotel – led to this plan.

We saw some kites in the skies and I asked whether the boys knew how to fly them. And they were fake-insulted that I should ask such a question!

And so we went on to plan to fly kites that evening.

Or rather that they would fly kites and teach me a trick or two.

And so here we are flying kites at the bank of the river Ganga.

Grateful that the hospitality of Hotel Brij Rama Palace extended to such training sessions! I wonder if such warmth is possible anywhere outside India.
