***

About 10-15 years old

Can be worn as a stole / scarf / shawl or used as a home decor accent

Gorgeous handwoven textile - unused - new without tags.

All natural dyes and natural coarse cotton.Handwoven.

As the dyeing is done by hand, there is a difference of concentrations of dye that reaches different segment so the cloth. So there are bands of different browns that are seen in this shawl. This is normal and NOT a defect for this group of textiles that are created in a remote village in Orissa. The unevenness adds to the beauty of the textile.

From one of the best weaving tribes of India based in the Eastern state of Orissa.

Stole -sized textile in a rich brown combined with off-white borders. The combination results in a smart contemporary accessory in spite of being an earthy tribal textile.

The simplicity is elegant and many prominent politicos from India patronise this weaving group.
