5200 Chinese Minority Child's Apron Tunic Costume

VERY GOOD EXAMPLE of a China Minority people's costume for a little child. Probably Miao.

This apron, worn over a shirt, is extensively embroidered in a fine stitch.

The wide flair of the skirt segment (119cm), created by dozens of tiny close pleats,í«í_ is similar to the flower skirt of the Miao people.

Completely handstitched.

Thick cotton base and silk embroidery.

Shows signs of useí«í_ and wear

The choice of colors, the style of garment all offer a glimpse of the culture of the minority groups in the 1940s-1950s.
