1868 Old Tamil Palm Leaf Manuscript with Side covers / Ceylon

This palm leaf manuscript contains inscriptions in what appears to be Tamil. 

Several drawings and charts present across the manuscript

Acquired from Sri Lanka

Note the pin made of plant stem that holds the thread in place

Note also the covers on the sides - I've handled over a dozen palm leaf manuscripts of various ages but this is the first time I've seen this feature.

Signs of age present as discoloration, fading, chips to the palm leaf etc.
