1153 SOLD Rare Museum Quality Sindh Pillow Case - 1940-1950s

Sold to a discerning Antique Art-Lover ***

Absolutely stunning fine embroidery on a Sindh Valley Pillow case.

With Tan work rendered in cotton thread allover the field and kharek work rendered in silk floss in the central squares.

Handwoven base cloth on the front.

The back and tassels may have been recently added.

Extremely rare. Extremely fine neat work.

The vibrant combination of magenta and yellow is the feature that makes this piece! (in my humble opinion).

Rare. Probably the last of this quality that I shall see.

20.5 x 32 inches
