Set of 14 hand carved Phurba
This set is most likely made of Kapala bone (but could even be yak bone) each about 2.5 inches long, in the shape of a phurba.
Each piece is intricately carved with Buddhist motifs.
Probably used strung together to forma necklace.
Such pieces probably had great significance in Tantric Buddhism that is practiced in the Himalayan belt.
Estimated to be from the 1800s
