Valuable Verneh Sumak Rug flatweave

Verneh a handmade Caucasian floor covering that was formerly termed a sileh.

Verné rugs are thought to have been woven around the town of Jebrail (Dzhebrail) in the Karabagh district of southern Azerbaijan.

The condition of this rug is clearly imperfect. Has worn areas and holes and today is a 'fragmen'

The blue / green border and selvedge are the aspects that make this p piece

5 X 7.7 feet

Estimated to be woven before the 1850s.
